Each year, IMERIR organizes various events around the school’s themes
Tech’innOV Festival 2019

In 2019, the first edition of a festival dedicated to digital technological innovation, the Tech’innOV Festival took place from 24 to 26/01/2019 on the site of Orles Valley and the Sud Formation/IMERIR campus in Perpignan.
This new event is piloted by IMERIR, colleges, high schools and the city hall of Perpignan for its organization and animation (free festival and open to young people and the public of the Catalan country).
The animation was organized around discovery stands (robotics, model making, inventions, software engineering , virtual reality…) and participative workshops (welding, 3d printing, robot programming, Scratch language initiation, flying drones, boats and submarines, amateur radio initiation, laser engraving and cutting, FabLab tools handling…). These workshops were also completed by demonstrations, exhibitions of projects and activities, … with a triple objective :
– to create the desire to create among the young and less young
– to show that it is possible and easy to learn digital technologies
– to promote scientific and technological studies
This event was expanded compared to MakerFaire Perpignan 2018, doubled duration, increased surface area, more workshops and more exhibitors …
Free school visits were organized on Thursday 24 and Friday 25, morning and afternoon, guided tour by class or group of classes, then free visit.
On Saturday 26, the exhibition was open to the public (free entrance), an opportunity for many schoolchildren to return with their parents.
